Newton Oldfather
Newton is a litigator with experience in government practice, internal investigations, civil litigation, and trials. After beginning his career at Latham & Watkins LLP in San Francisco, Newton joined the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office where he tried several cases to verdict, defending the City and County of San Francisco in tort, civil rights, property, and complex litigation cases. Newton has also worked at the Marin County Counsel’s Office and the San Francisco Department of Police Accountability, where he oversaw high-profile internal investigations and advised on issues of police reform and privacy.
